I've got a young female friend in New Orleans who bought her first bike in December a 2003 Triumph Bonneville.
Recently the battery went dead & I'm not sure if she tried to replace it or if she had help but the wires got crossed and fried.
I have not seen the bike so I'm not sure of the damage but the dealer told her $1400.00 to start. She had to scrape & save for 3 years to buy her bike & can't afford to lay out that kind of money.
So I'm trying to scare up either a wiring harness or a wrecked donor bike & possibly find some one in her area that could help her.
She is not afraid of getting down & dirty. About 5 years ago she came to my house every Sunday & she put together an 850 T3 I had.
She did not just sit & watch she did the work. I would lay out a project like pulling wheel bearings out & installing new ones, go over the procedure then let her choose tools & method. She worked in our Florida heat & humidity, slapped skeeters & yellow flies, spit out gnats & never complained.
Anyway I'd like to help her if I can. If any one has a line on an old Bonneville please let me know.
Thanks
