Hi Everyone,
I am swapping out the metal panel that covers the ignition and holds the indicator lights for ABS and traction control.
I am having trouble removing this panel due to the indicator lights.
Does anyone know or can they suggest how to remove these indicator lights ?
I am replacing with the direct replacement an original Moto guzzi brushed aluminum metal panel.

Thanks

So? What exactly is the problem? The connectors to the lights? A difference in the looms? The length of cable in the loom? The way the lights are mounted in the bit of bling?

If it's a *Factory* bit it can't be too different as all of this sort of cosmetic Drac is usually very simply interchangeable. More info please, with some pics if possible. That would help.

I've only moved the bracket with the lights out of the the way, but its rather apparent that you won't be able to get the lights out with them still attached to the wire harness.  You need to follow the light wires and unplug them, if possible.  That might mean removing the tank.

Hi Pete ,

Ill post pics soon - first there is no problem
Just trying to figure out where the lights cable run to as there is no removable connection on the bottom side of the light - just as pokey Joe that I need to trace the wire to where they connect and unplug.
I thought it would be a simpler procedure honestly and I want to avoid removing the gas tank if I have to.
Do you know where these wires lead and connect to and do you have any suggestions.
I was looking at a service manual but there is no guides .

I'll post pics as soon as I can to give you a better idea.

Thank you

Best,
Alberto

No idea. Are you sure there isn't some clip mechanism holding the lights to the lenses? If not just keep taking stuff apart until you find the connectors. Getting the tank off on a V7-II isn't hard. There's a second 'Quick Disconnect' half way down the line so you don't have to screw about with the elbow fitting on the tank.

Most connectors are under the tank, just remove it. Should be a green button on fuel line by frame and a lecrical plug for pump. Mark hoses for EVAP so they go back same way.

According to the wiring diagram, the ABS light wires go to the ABS unit and the TC light wires go to both the ABS unit and the ECU.  The wiring diagram also shows that there are plug connectors in the wiring for both lights.  Now the trick is to find out where these connectors are located.
