oil, grease or dry cylinder base and head gasket

prepping parts for an install of new gaskets on my g5 and was wondering if one preferred to the other for each application or is it just personal preference?  at least its not an oil or tire thread

I install both dry.

For 2-strokes, I use a thin coat of antiseize on base gaskets.  I don't know if they seal any better, but they sure come off easier later.  I guess with a Guzzi engine you don't have to take the cylinders off very often, but if you do have to remove one later...
