Hadn't seen anything yet, so thought I'd mention it:

Western New York Moto Guzzi Family Rally in the Vineyards

June 10 - 12, 2016
Westfield KOA Kampground
Westfield, NY on the shores of Lake Erie

i believe the Buffalo Guzzi dealer, Kustom Workz, will be set up for demo's & service again this year, you can contact them at 716-651-0044 to make a service appt.

Some local attractions include wineries, breweries, & distilleries (& one location with all three.... (shameless plug)), antiques, smoked fish, beach glass, pies, & the obligatory scenery & riding.... There is also normally a Civil War encampment the same weekend, I believe.

I'll have to be square (nothing new) again this year. Had hoped to ride up, even for just a day, but there's just too much on my plate right now.

Dad and I will be there sometime Thursday or Friday. Dad suffered a stroke in December. He's doing well but we might take two days to come up.

Local prognosticators calling for nice riding weather Thursday & Friday - clear & cool (65 - 75), chance of showers Saturday, & clearing up for the ride home Sunday. Not s'posed to get to 80 all weekend.

I have a graduation on Saturday. It's a nice ride from Rochester, but if no one will be there around lunch time Sunday I might just skip out.

Ill be there with my wife tomorrow evening.. working nights tonight so... thinking likely get there around 6 or 7.

Its her first rally so bringing big tent etc. so she will want to come again. lol

btw... Ill need directions to the "all in one" winery, brewery, & distillery.

I stopped by today to drop off some door prizes and say hi to my friend and organizer Joe Casey.
The Guzzi rep is there as well as the boys from CustomWorks, the local dealer. They have a whole fleet of demo bikes!

Stopped by again this morning. Got up early and rode over for coffee. Saw a few friends and met a whole bunch of new ones.

Of course. He's the mayor of fun! Takin it slow tonight, 500+ miles home tomorrow. Was supposed to rain here today, but it blew right around us. Pristine weather all weekend.

Got home last night at 9:30 PM (768 miles) and except for a few sprinkles, the weather was great. Enjoyed the rally as usual and want to thank Joe and all the many other volunteers who put on a fun event. This was my first longer trip on my '98 EV and I have to say she ran like a clock. On the way home there was a lot of 70-80 mph extended sessions and not a hiccup. The only thing I noticed was that after dark whe I applied the front brake, the headlight would dim a little. I'll have to investigate that.

A special thank you to Tonya (sic?) for making the brownies and sharing with all. I took a couple home for Tyler (grandson) and he said to say ("thank you!). Hope to have him with me again next time.

Thanks Cam, but I believe that award went to a guy from Idaho who probably rode twice as far as me, or more. I usually have to bring the sidecar rig if I want an award.
