Siem headlight
« on: June 12, 2016, 05:02:26 PM »
Took the Mille out at dusk last night to enjoy the lightning display off to the east, and to check out the headlight performance.

Disappointing.

I'm used to riding behind the Bosch lamps on the T and the Funduro, both of which run through relays. In comparison, the Siem unit on the Mille is weak and yellowish, with a soft-focus cutoff.

Using the T as donor, I'll install my Eastern Beaver relays and see if that helps. If not, the T's old Bosch lamp.

Never saw a Siem headlamp on a big bike before -- though I guess they're common on scooter.
