Forward Foot Pegs.
« on: June 19, 2016, 04:10:19 PM »
I went for a longer ride today on my 2013 v7 stone and it was tough.  My ass is sore and my knees are achy. Are there any accessories or options for stone forward for pegs so I can stretch out? Some highway or something? Thanks

Forward pegs might help your knees, but your ass will be even more sore. Lowering is the solution

You might try temporarily placing something firm but not hard on the existing seat to raise it 2".  Try a short ride on that.  It will open your knee angle noticeably.  Then, you can have the OEM seat modified if you find the added height to your liking.  Finally, you can lower the footrests if necessary.

For my 03 Stone Touring, I had Corbin build me a 1" taller than standard seat and I fabricated 1" lower footrests set 3.5" aft of the OEM placement.  Love it.  Worth the time and expense.

until you get add on pegs sorted, have you ever tried to use the passenger pegs?

Mille, Jackal, Griso:  Heels hanging off the passenger pegs is my normal riding position, good for many, many miles.

You could try the Airhawk seat I use one on long rides, it does not stop me aching but makes me ache in a different place so every time I stop for fuel I remove it then refit it next stop it only takes a few seconds. Steve.
