Help Needed--CalVin Upper Spark plug Tool

Can someone refer me to a spark plug socket wrench/size that will remove the UPPER plugs on my 2008 California Vintage?  The socket in my tool kit is too wide and thick to fit amongst the fins.

See if the auto parts store can get you a thin wall socket, nothing special needed beyond that!

They use great steel and can maintain strength while keeping their sockets thin.

  Buy a 5/8" spark plug socket and grind down the last 3/4" or so until it's very thin. That's what I use, and it works well.

Is 5/8 the right size for the upper plug?  I thought we needed a metric size.

Bought mine on amazon.  Comes with extension that has a little give built in for tight corners

Also, it's not something you need to do often.

If you don't have the ability to grind down a socket by hand, or don't want to spend money on a Snap-On, let us know where you're located. Perhaps someone would be willing to loan you one.

I vouch for the Motion Pro's quality. $21 is not Snap-On pricing, by the way. Presuming the Tusk is the knockoff, I'd vote for buying the Motion Pro on general principles, and pay the extra $4.

5/8 and 16mm are equivalent spark plug sizes. From an NGK website: "... 5/8" (16mm) and 13/16" are the two most common plug Hex sizes...."
