Long shot....need help for my mini Lario disaster
«

Hi all
Had a great ride today and when putting my Lario back in the barn the bottom oil pan scoop caught a small concrete lip and shattered. I know this is a long shot but if anyone has this piece and is willing to sell it I would be interested.
Thanks

To the best of my knowledge all the smallblock pans are the same. Just buy one off a later model. Or find one at a wrecker.

Thanks Pete
The oil pan is fine. What shattered is the fairing scoop body work that sits around the pan.

Ouch! Think you're screwed.
Actually looks better without it IMHO.

Would this small block chin fairing fit your Lario? Similar to stock? Certainly cheap enough.

Not sure but you *might* be in luck. I have a feeling I have one lurking about under the bench at work! I'm not going down there now though, its been SNOWING here this morning! That's rare, its also been blowing a sodding gale and the wind chill factor is horrendous! Luckily we have nothing booked in today so I told Michael to stay at home in front of the fire and I've followed my own advice to him and I'm flinging logs in the fire like its going out of fashion!
I'll have a squizz next time I'm down there.

Thanks again for the help.

Thanks for the alternative alternative chin fairing suggestion Cam. but I don't think that will fit to bolt up on the Lario. Unable to locate one as of yet. Harpers thought they might have one but no luck. As of now all my eggs are in the Roper basket but if that doesn't workout I may give your suggestion a second look.
Thanks again

I am trying to remember if LM4 is the same part, too long ago. If so you are in luck

Thanks Steve but the LM4 chin fairing will not fit the Lario according to Harpers. Not a bad thought though and i appreciate your input.

Got the PM. It's the weekend, we have friends down from Townsville in Far North Queensland, yes I know you are eager and concerned to see if I have the part you need and yes, I will look, as soon as I get a chance next week when I'm back in the workshop. If I don't respond in a week? Feel free to nag me, but a PM, over the weekend, asking for satisfaction on a cosmetic part.....?
How would you feel?

Do you have the pieces? They can be repaired. Not difficult.

Chuck and Dog Walker. i do have the pieces and it was shattered. I'm not familiar enough with body work to say what is or is not possible repair wise. Where would I take it to have it repaired? Would a regular automotive body shop be the place? I think it might be such a small job that they would choose to pass on it or it is in so many pieces that they would say I'm out of luck.

Dug that belly pan out. Pretty sure it's a Mk IV one.
