 OK so some research shows a Chanticleer is a name for a rooster , who knew 

 Anyway , the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers beat Arizona for the college national title , a feet equivalent to Moto Guzzi outselling Honda . Congratulations to Coastal Carolina

The University of SC cornered Gamecock as the mascot. Coastal Carolina kept it in the family with Chanticleer. Both now CWS Champions. The football team is another matter. We call them 'Shamecocks". Most embarrassing group of athletes in state history.

I believe Chanticleer was the name of the rooster in Geoffrey Chaucer's "Canterbury Tales." (lots of misspellings in this post, I'm certain.)
