Will 500ml be enough to replace v7 fork oil? manual does not state volume only depth.
I'd guess about 250ml per side but I dont want to buy 500ml to find I need 550ml and should have bought 1 litre.
p.s was going to buy castrol 10w synthetic as manual seems to indicate 5w to 20w (recomend 7.5 agip)
Bear in mind that viscosity between different oils can vary a lot. A 5w oil of one brand can feel totally different to another because one is at the top end of the range for a 5w and the other is at the bottom. In your situation i simply take a sample of the original oil that came out and use a small syringe with the plunger out and a measured amount and time the drips V quantity to give me a comparison to the replacement oil. Then if they are different you can make a decision on whether the different viscosity either higher or lower will benefit your situation. So if the replacement is a little more viscous and you feel that extra damping is required then that will be fine, but if you feel the forks are over damped as it is then you know to go to a lighter grade in the same replacement brand. You can even mix up 2 weights to get it right.
Believe me you can sometimes feel the world of difference between 2 identical weights depending on where they fall in the range and at least if you do what I suggest you will know the reason for any difference in feel if thats what you get.
