From the Deep Deep South out in left field.  There are no stupid questions.  There are however stupid people asking questions.  🤣, this includes me.  😉 Hawaii.

I crashed twice within a few months of starting to ride. I didn't take the msf course or any kind of class, I just went out and started riding with a permit. I dropped the bike the very first time I stopped...

I was lucky I went down in dirt both times so I didn't get hurt at all.

I do wish I had taken the MSF course, and I did years later and learned a lot from it. Live and learn tho...

Well he got farther than a guy I know from work did back in 2003.  He low sided his brand new BMW R1150R Roskster in the parking lot of the dealership where he bought the bike. Ouch!

IIRC there's a YouTube vid of a guy with a brand new Goldwing.  Trying to load into the bed of his pick-up.  Didn't make it into the bed.

At 10 years old I learned not to use the front brake hard on dirt. I had an older cousin with a 64 Honda Trail 90. Did a little race thing in the farm yard against the clock. After the starting straight away I realized as was approaching the grainery barn a bit quick and didn't really know anything about braking. Washed out the front end , went down and was pinned under the bike. Wasn't hurt thanks to the muffler shield. I currently have possession of the same bike and if you look closely you can see the damage I caused on the headlight housing, brake lever and the muffler shield. Not hurt, so a cheap lesson that I never forgot.
