V7 Classic, fork gaiter/boots
« on: July 17, 2016, 02:05:36 AM »
I`d like to fit some to my V7 classic, mainly for looks. I`ve used the search function and I haven`t come up with anything definitive, the OEM ones cost drug money, Gaiterman only lists them for V50, Triumph Bonneville ones are slightly too large and need bodging and I can`t see any used ones on ebay etc.

Any ideas?

Generic ones should do.  It would enhance the retro look.  Main impediment is removing everything to install them.
I might put some on the next time I change the fork oil.

These should fit and are economically priced in comparison to the OEM ones:

http://www.gaiterman.co.uk/gaiters---40mm-x-60mm-x-160mm-8-p.asp
Gaiters - 40mm x 60mm x 160mm
They are 40mm (Top) x 60mm (bottom) x 160mm (overall length.
Price: 17.99

Guaranteed to fit as I've put a pair on my V7R with Marzocchi forks, replacing the OEMs that got damaged.

Thanks! Do you have a pic of them on the bike?

Sorry, not right at the moment.  I'm setting up my suspension and need to put a tiewrap on the fork to see the fork travel.  Therefore they are off the bike at the moment.  But they look same as OEM.
