I think she means a 32Gig SD card, will get you a couple hours depending on what quality level you record at. check first, I think you need a mini SD card (the kind the fits into an SD size adapter to plug into computer.)battery lasts a few hours give or take.. you could power it from the bike with a cig lighter input. if you should choose to shoot time lapse stills instead of video the battery lasts a lot longer.mounting? something in the foreground like the dash is a good thing so behind the w/s might be fine.the cell phone app is great for controlling it without having to move the camera and you can view/adjust the picture your getting.go to Gopro web site, they have all the answers.
Helmet mounted gives a good POV with no vibration.Chest mounted would be similar.Any mounting to the bike will have 'hum bars' in the picture unless you go to the highest frame rate/resolution. That chews up file size quick. There does not seem to be a mounting type that cures this. Not super annoying, but impacts quality.
Suggest you look at the GoPro Session rather than the Hero. I am using it, and it's much easier than the Hero, is by itself waterproof, smaller cube and much easier to use by hand as well. Tons of mounting options...front fender, rear fender...anything above the shock absorbers will be fine...I've done a ton of taping from those two positions and have zero vibrations.Helmet mounts are great, I"m also looking at a side fender mount...best to also get a GoPro Remote Control unit rather than using your phone will riding. Mount the remote control with the strap to your Clutch Fluid cylinder flat surface, and you can just press ON/OFF and not worry about fiddling with the phone while riding...much much easier.Great idea! Session costs $199, vs. Hero at $399?
, that $50 camera doesn't go into video mode,
all gopros do video so something(settings) must be wrong.. or the SD card is not class 6-10
firmware won't load, camera is junk, spent half the day with the pos.
I Kinda wish there was a "top of the shoulder" mount... I'm not crazy about the helmet mount, and the chest mount can be a bit low ... Top of shoulder would be good... Perhaps I can borrow some pirates parrot!
I've decided to go with a handle bar mount, problem is I wish it had a swivel, not enough time to order one right now as I'm leaving on a road trip Monday morning.

You could always have it mailed to an address in Sturgess so you'd have it there for the trip.

Another reason why the GoPro Session is a better camera (in my opinion), as the battery will last about 2.5 hours of solid filming. My Hero 4 Black used to go thru batteries every 20 minutes too...drove me nuts.
