Coil advice
« on: August 05, 2016, 06:38:19 AM »
I have an Ambo with Magneti Marelli coil but when I measured it with the multi meter it's open circuit.
In the cupboard I have another coil, originally from my old Peugeot car.
It has a reading of 3 ohms. Can I use this on the bike?

Yes, any 3 ohm coil will work.

I had a set of Dyna coils fail (Dyna ignition too).  After reading up a bit I went and got a pair of coils from a late 60's VW/BMW (NAPA cheap stuff).  They work great, and, I know I can get replacements just about any where in the world.
