WTB: Head oil lines needed
« on: August 07, 2016, 10:25:12 PM »
I have an 1100 cali engine that I want to perhaps add an oil cooler to.  The theory is that I can use the existing oiler hole to the head oil lines as a "tap" point for the cooler.  Run from there to a Convert ATF tank in the Convert oem location.  Run out of the cooler to a standard guzzi fuel injection "Y" coupling and out of the "Y" to the heads.  Mount all so's the oil stays in the tank and doesn't ruin the engine for no flow at startup.

I'd like to build the assembly here in Sitka before I rejoin the trike in a few weeks.  To do that I need at least the fittings from the 1100 engine.  Although I can make it work with just those, having right-angle fittings to the cooler would also be nice.  I think the sports (and some others) have right angled fittings on external oil lines.  I don't know if they fit a Convert ATF cooler, but if anyone has a pair, I'd like to know about them.

So I'm not needing 'good' oil lines.  I just need good fittings.  If anyone has some suitable holed, kinked, dried up old oil lines lying around, and you'll let them go reasonably, please let me know.

Thnaks

Don't Speedflow have something suitable?

I think it's the same line for all of the square-fin engines? If so, and if I haven't thrown it away, I can send you the one off of the Cal II engine going in the Ambovert.

I suspect they are the same on all the cali's with a threaded fitting on the end instead of a banjo.  I know it would be a lot of work getting it up here, but that's a risk I'm willing to take.   :thumb:

Do you still have my address from the last time this happened?   :embarrassed:
