Griso rear shock spring

My new to me 2013 Griso feels undersprung at the rear. Clearly a Matris R shock is the ideal answer but it is rather expensive.

Has anyone replaced the spring on the standard shock with good results and if so what did you use?

I would also like to know.  My understanding is you have to buy a new shock with the spring because for us of larger girth you can't get a spring that's heavy enough that fit's the stock shock.   it's the old belt is to tight and there's no notches left problem that some of us know all to well
