I suppose it's not within your typical riding range

The factory will be open, and the public can visit the works, the engine assembly line and the wind tunnel

See you there  :thumb:

Damn, I missed it by 4 months!  Only got to see the museum and the grossly overpriced museum shop.  But the Coffee Lattes in the cafe around the corner where superb.

Forty-eight Guzzis and 60 members of the Moto Guzzi Club of Victoria will be there.  It's been a prodigious undertaking for the club to ship the bikes half way around the world.

Did you talk to the Dutch Guzzi Club about how to do that in shipping container(s)?  We met them 2X in the US in the 90s at different camping sights.

With Teo Lamers residing in Victoria (Australian state) now I'm pretty sure the local Guzzi club would be all over it.

Yes, we arranged it through Teo Lamers.  Two containers to Nijmegan.

Wayne explains it here: http://megwaynebrundell.tumblr.com/post/148687589559/when-two-become-one

The club has joined the TLM Jubilee trip: http://www.tlm.nl/en/travels/extended-tours/jubileumreis-2016-95-jaar-moto-guzzi/

We arrive in Mandello on Friday (accommodation is already booked), spend the whole weekend at the party, and depart on Monday.  Many members will shoot off on their own travels around Europe.  Bikes must be back at TLM by a certain date to be crated up and packed back into containers for the return to Melbourne.

Look for the T-shirts:

I'll be there! Don't know where I'm gonna stay but I'll be there! Pete, we need to meet up. I'll send you my cell phone number. You can send me an email this week if you like with your travel plans. Still want to come to Germany?

I'm there too. Room booked in Abbadia Lariana.  So we all will be there and don't meet each other because there are 10000 people arround?

Turns out, I just got back from Mandello, yesterday.  They're expecting perhaps 15,000 people.  I've been to a number of these things, and what amazes me are the extraordinarily rare vintage Guzzis just putting along the streets.

I'll be there from Thursday, somewhere on way via Bologna during week before
Bike if on road is my uk one, I built as it still is it for my bro in 1986 or so, was nearly new  SP 1000 then.
If the internet myths are true you'll know it cos the 30 year old ally timing gears will have turned to sludge and I'll be pushing it, but unlikely a few more thousand miles will do any more damage than the last 145 !!!
This travelling with 74 Ducati Sport is me

If I'm propping up a bar somewhere I may or may not be only one with red braces (suspenders in merkan) and shorts, no corn pipe but usually have a roll up hanging off my gob

See youse there or on the road
