I am loath to say this ... but

                                              BULL POOPIE .

About the movie in the second post ...

                                          MORE BULL POOPIE

Like the "reported" cases of poison Halloween candy , or the Legend of the Swamp creature that devours children , there has never ever been a documented case of either . NADA, ZIPPO , didn't happen . All cases of mass hysteria .

Could be a copy-cat of the Green Bay clown, who was apparently real enough earlier this summer.

Actually, that documentary debunks all of those stories and tracks down it's origin. There was one case of poisoned candy, but it was a father who gave it to his own kid. So, yes mostly bull poopie. That green bay clown is hilarious!

Now the Lochness monster...

The Green Bay Clown is probably a fan of Insane Clown Posse .

Oh , thanks for straightening me out on the movie , although that does beg the question , why do we need a movie to debunk obvious Poopie ? LOL

When I was a kid, if a clown had tried to lure me somewhere, I would have run the opposite way.  I suspect most kids would do the same.

I was just thinking the same thing as your post popped up.

Clowns, the traditional "circus clown" type, always looked scary and horrible to me, never funny.   I suspect a lot of people felt the same way, since a bunch of horror movies have traded on people's fear of the way clowns looked.

Never could figure that out.

My sister had a Ringling Bros. poster that featured 3 terrifying clowns. It gave her roommate nightmares.

On another discussion board, there was a regular who always wanted me to use more emoticons.  He was afraid that things I said would be misinterpreted if I didn't plaster every post with smileys.  I eventually made my own little smiley emoticon and started using it whenever I responded to one of his posts.

Like this clown.   "Pogo the Clown".   Supposed to be a funny clown, did kids' parties, parades, and things like that:

Turns out he was also John Wayne Gacy the serial killer ... He ruined clowns for me if nothing else would ....

I never even had a positive image of Bozo nor Clarabelle.

Speaking of images from one's past, a bunch of us old guys (60's) were sitting around the other day and the subject of "Disney Villains" came up.   Turns out that a lot of people are still affected 50 years later by images they absorbed in their childhood ... !

My take on "Scariest Disney Villain" was the Coachman in "Pinocchio".    I dreamed about that guy, taking boys and turning them into donkeys ... !

The "Evillest Disney Villain" had to be Cinderella's stepmother.   10 solid years of abuse of a child living in a house that actually belonged to her ... worse than the Queen from "Sleeping Beauty", Cruella de Ville the puppy killer, or even Scar from "Lion King" ....

Grimms' fairy tales bothered me quite a bit.  I still don't understand exposing children to them.

The scariest thing for me was seeing the Exorcist in the theater in 1973 when I was 14. Of course, 8 years of Catholic Grammar School had me prepped to be scared.
