1975 V7 Sport for sale...School me if this is a fair price

Just curious if this guy (and he may be on here, I don't know) is nuts or if this is considered a collectible and is worth a pretty penny?

That is about the CMV - Current Market Value, today, (IMHO) - - there are V7 Sport examples that cost a lot more! :thumb: :1:

When it was original maybe, but like this, it's not worth it.

not much left of the original V7 sport.
rims, brakes, engine,carbs etc.
i think it is a very nice bike for a every day use, great motor and modern brakes.
It is up to you , would you be ok spending that kind of money for that bike ? if yes, buys it. ( you are aware that there is not real value for such a bike, it worth what someone is willing to pay for )

Are you looking for an original V7 sport ? if yes , that is not the bike.
As others said , 12.5 k is what an original V7 sport can go for, for that specific bike... its hard to put a price on it because it is a "unique" bike.

That bike it's been for sale for quite few years now.

On Ebay, there is a 850 lemans1  at a very fair price ,check it out.

'74 was the last year for the V7 Sport.  That is a clone.

Agreed this is not a stock V7 sport far from it. It's overpriced for what it is.

But he's spent over $30k on it! It's got to be worth what he's asking.  :boozing:

Not even the original engine...

I have to agree with the previous posts.  Overpriced for a look-a-like.  At that price original is what you want to look for.

the fact that it was titled in 1975 , does not mean it is not a V7 sport.
vin tag should have the date when it was built, that paint scheme should be 1972.

Its still has a lot of v7 sport parts left, yes it is a shame...but maybe when it was built years ago the owner did not know the bike would have become an "icon"

Anyway to build something like that now, it will cost easily 7-8 k

but i am sure someone will say he can build one for less....lol

There is not much V7 Sport left, look for an original and complete bike of you are going to spend that kind of money.

Look at the rear of the frame on the disc brake side. That doesn't even look 850 T maybe T-3. I think the only things V7 are the bodywork.

Looks like he has the underseat courtesy light and a late model starter.  Looks more original that the one on this thread.

EVERYTHING is more original than the one in this thread.  It's not a V7 Sport!

This bike has been on Ebay several times, never seen any takers.

Its a custom mod, a lot of work went into it but it is NOT a V7 Sport, sorta like a lot of Mustangs I see tarted up to look like a Shelby.

I don't care if you are asking $12k or $4k for a bike. Clean the mud off the exhaust and fuel grim on the carbs!  :thewife:
