So long, and thanks for all the fish
« on: September 06, 2016, 07:35:21 PM »
My Guzzi has sailed off into the sunset, so I bid you all farewell. It's been an interesting five years here, and I've truly experienced the joys and agonies of Guzzi ownership.

Extra special thanks to the Map Wizards, Vasco DG and Beetle, I very much appreciate your generosity in creating maps for the Guzzi community. And to Luap for moderating.

You won't find a better place to hang out, why leave?

You have listed two larger touring motorcycles, both now gone. May we interest you in a nice V7?

I enjoyed your contributions.

On the one hand, WG is not la Cosa Nostra - you CAN leave if you want.

On the other hand, there have been a lot of good and informative posts from your direction in that same five years.   Quick sampling shows that a lot of them are in non-Guzzi-related threads ... you COULD keep 'em coming.

Just a suggestion.

I've been on many forums over the years and this one is one of the best and the only one I've ever contributed to financially.

If for some reason I ever get rid of the T5 I'll probably stay on just for all the good folks in here.

You dont have to leave !  I think even if I didnt ride Guzzis, I would hang out here every day. Most of the stuff here is applicable to anyone interested in motorcycling in general.

:1:  I agree wholeheartedly.  I no longer own a Guzzi (the Stelvio now lives near Cleveland, OH).  My current bike is another Beemer.  However, I continue to go to Guzzi events and see the people I have known for the last several years.  Friendly environment, have a lot of fun, what's not to like?

But I no gotta the Guzzi.

You can write interesting posts on how you wake up at night calling out for your Guzzi, and about how you long for another Guzzi every time you see one on the road, and how your Ducati is just not doing it for you and does anyone have a nice sporty Guzzi for sale?

Or maybe about something else.
