Pictures tell the story! 1200 cc head turner... Will not find a better deal anywhere. Cash only.

Hard bags! 2008 Moto Guzzi 1200 Breva Sport Blends Naked Style, Cruising Comfort This sporty edition of the "Italian Eagle" attacks the asphalt mile after mile -- with Italian style, more power and a smoother-than-ever ride. The 2008 Moto Guzzi 1200 Breva Sport is the most aggressive sibling in the Breva family of Naked bikes, which includes the Breva 1100 and Breva 750. With added horsepower and more torque available at even lower revs, lowered gearing and a host of other performance enhancements, the Sport is also the ideal Moto Guzzi for the rider who wants to log cruising miles in comfort while having an arsenal of performance features on tap. And, while the tech specs point to the Breva Sport's penchant for setting a pulse-quickening pace, this V-twin Naked also sends a serious message while standing still, thanks to classic racing graphics, a racing exhaust and standard equipment like a tubular, low-rise handlebar, titanium-treated forks, a caf-racer style fairing, aluminum foot pegs, sports seat, sport tires and powerful wave front disc brakes. A full Racing Kit for optimum performance is an added option. When Carlo Guzzi engineered the first Moto Guzzi over 85 years ago, he wanted to shatter the notion that motorcycles should sacrifice function, reliability and comfort for pure speed. His philosophy that the perfect motorcycle offers a balance of all these riding qualities has inspired every Moto Guzzi designer and engineer since, and the 1200 Breva Sport again celebrates the company founder's unique point of view.

It is a lovely bike , and the price isn't bad for a low mileage example . The seller just uses too much hyperbole in the ad . At least he didn't claim it to be a 'Busa killer like an ad for a Rocket III for sale locally

Along with other "facts", he missed the timeline for the beginning of Moto Guzzi, 1921.

I would buy a Guzzi 1200 Sport in a second were I a little richer and 10 years younger.

I try to numb my regrets by telling myself the  "orca" paint motif is (to my rheumy eyes) unattractive.

It sounds like much of that came from a Guzzi ad.

Wasn't a kit available with high exhaust, race ECU, and velocity stacks? Sounds racey to me.

seems like a nice bike for the money.   :thumb:

reads like the ad came out of the National Inquirer.

Yup, there was a 'Race' kit with a very nice 1 into 2 set up, an ECU and probably a couple of other bits. The ECU is just an ECU. The map in it was, errr? 'Pedestrian'. It was vastly overpriced but if this bike has the full kit it can easily be re-mapped to work properly and the Sports, both 2V and 8V, ( :violent1:) are a happy thing. At that price, despite the hyperbole, it's a steal.

Pete

(Edit.) It hasn't got the 'Race Kit' just an aftermarket can of some sort according to the pics.

Ah, that's the key here, "A full Racing Kit for optimum performance is an added option."   Misleading indeed, this bike as it appears in the pics, does not have the Racing kit!   I think the seller is usage poor prose, he actually is saying there is/was a  full racing kit available.  It did contain special high pipes, ECU and velocity stakes, this bike has none of that.

I'll have to think about what messages my motorcycles send while standing still.  Maybe "This guy's old" and/or "This guy isn't rich."

I'm still surprised that some think "racing" in a description of a motorcycle is a good thing.  If I found that a bike had an owner that was "race" oriented in his thinking, I'd steer clear.
