Re-wiring and Relocating Starter Button 850T

I am wanting to move the starter button to the frame on my 850T.  I don't pretend to understand wiring. There are two white wires and one white and black wire. I can wire the blk/wht wire and one white wire to a push button switch and engage the starter but I do not have power to the ignition system.  Thanks for the help. Oh and I do not want a kill switch.

I would not delete the kill switch on the handlebar.

One day there will be a time when a foot will be on the ground, using the other  trying to find neutral, the clutch will be held in, the right hand will be on the brake so you don't roll and you don't won't to stall it as you are at the front of the traffic. It will rock on a stall and take a couple of seconds to re-balance yourself and your pride and joy before going through the re-starting procedure.

The kill switch becomes handy to stop the motor, find neutral (or neutrals if it hasn't been shimmed ) restart and be on your way without drama.

You don't have to play with handlebar switches to mount a starter on the frame. I don't have a circuit diagram of an 850 T but on later models the starter relay is triggered by earthing through the black and white wire off contact 86. You could tap into that circuit for your starter button.

Check everything with a circuit tester before and after any work.

I just looked at a 850T USA wiring diagram on "This Old Tractor"

As above the black and white wire from the start relay goes to the bar switch where it is earthed when you push the button

So as already suggested you could simply tap off (parallel) that wire to your new button and ground the other end of your button

Kill switch is your choice but it can be handy for a few things, including working on the bike and you need the ignition on, it isolates the coils preventing them overheating.

Its also the last line of defense if you end up with a stuck throttle which is very rare but can happen.
