If Moto Guzzi didn't exist, I would probably choose a Suzuki V-Strom 650 or 1000. Ducati would be nice but not as a main ride. It would need to be a V-twin though. How about you?

Maybe a Bonneville or Thruxton
I'd certainly look into the Nine-T
Or possibly a Kawasaki ER-6n. Inexpensive and unpretentious, it would probably do the job.

I don't think I'll ever be able to get down to just one bike, but the main one would probably be a BMW airhead - either a GS, G/S, RS, S or the hot rodded R65LS.

The DR that I have now .. but if I wanted something with the same amount of character as Guzzi, it would be a Buell.

My Mille GT was the 2nd motorcycle I've ever owned. If Guzzi didn't exist, my main ride would still be the first motorcycle I ever owned, which was my main one before, and which I still ride, my '72 Kawasaki H2:

An R1200R. The latest ones even have cruise control as an option.

Most likely another Suzuki DL650 or some other Japanese bike. The Bassa was my first non Japanese bike except for the American Eagle 150 I had for a few months in 1974.
Seeing the Kawasaki H2 and knowing the music they makes would have me considering a Suzuki RG500. I just love the sound of a multi-cylinder 2 stroke.

For me it would be either a:
Honda CB 400F
Honda CX 500 Custom
or a BMW airhead.

Good question!!! Maybe some sort of road going single like the SRX600 and the SZR660 that I had before the Breva, or maybe a old air cooled flat twin R65.
Or many others......in fact right now I think the F800ST would be just about a good replacement. I'm open to many bikes if I cant have a Guzzi, but you know what......I really like 750 Guzzis!!!!

I still love my Hinckley Bonneville, but when I was looking for my Guzzi it was because I wanted a bike to travel on. I suppose I'd have a Harley FL of one of the simpler varieties. A Road King made the final two when I bought my Vintage...
