For Guzzi specific gear I rate Harper's outsider a 10. No excuse not to change oil and filter on time with one of these. I also give Dyna ignition high marks. Maybe not a 10 as I had one module failure in 35 years but still a great product with good support. Set the timing once and forget it.

Laminar Lip is a 10 for cold weather riding on my 1200 Sport bikini fairing beceause it keeps the wind off my neck. I put it on when temps average in the 60's and take it off for riding above 70 degrees.

The MG Stelvio hand guards are fantastic for keeping the cold, wind and rain off my hands all year long.

Aerostich suits.  I have both a 1 piece and a 2 piece, both are great gear.
The pre-owned Tourtech heated jacket liner I've used 5 seasons has also been great.
Hepco Becker Junior side cases and top case.   I've used these on 5 different bikes.   Love 'em!

Aerostich!!!  Makes just about any weather condition rideable.

Sidi waterproof boots, which are no joke waterproof.

Heated electric vest.   I used to mock the idea of electric gear.  Until I got a vest for Christmas.

Exigent neck and chest protector:

I bought my first one several years ago at the Cleveland Motorcycle Show.  Way too practical!  Perfect for when it's too warm for an electric vest (or wear it with an electric vest when the temps really drop.)

Without a doubt, my full Rukka suit, it was included, in a very, very, sweet Kijiji deal. I was was getting back into bikes after 30 yrs, buying gear etc, and Guy, a Ducati rider from Gatineau, Que was getting out of riding after 30 yrs,, one of many, kind and generous people,,, that I've met along the way, in this chapter of the ride. A lot of those people are on this forum, gratitude.js

My magnetic Givi tank bag is extremely useful,,, broke my heart, when I put on the larger plastic Clark tank on my DR650, and couldn't switch the tank bag, easily from bike to bike.

Throttle rockers of different types are a real help,,, but I noticed someone else mentioned the vibrations were amplified by them,,, I never connected the dots before,,, I wondered why my right hand was always going numb,, duh! I'll probably try a strip of thick velcro to put under them to dampen them now that I know it's an issue!,lol.

I've never ridden the bike stock,,, so I don't have a comparable baseline,,,  my DR650 has a Kerker exhaust and 3x3 airbox mod and a 14T ft sprocket,,, but I am quite confident,,, and always have a shit eating grin on my face, as clear proof, every time I twist the throttle,,, the final piece of the puzzle that really makes that bike come alive is the Keihin FCR39 double accelerator pump carb,,, my mileage sucks,,, but the fun factor is off the charts.

The most bang for the buck(even though they were expen$ive) soul stirring, bike investment, I've ever made,,, were the Lafranconis on my CX100,,, I am very confident, that long after I am unable to ride,,, if I can still drag my a** out to the garage, and fire the old girl up and listen to those pipes, burble and roar,,, nirvana, lol.

Arai Vector helmet and Tom Tom rider.

I'm shocked to see this one... I thought the Tom Tom Rider was the biggest purchasing mistake I ever made. If I could have gotten the damn thing to direct me to their corporate headquarters, I would have burnt it to the ground.  I almost threw it off a scenic overlook many times. I actually felt guilty selling it on ebay.. Felt like I just knowingly laid someone and gave them the clap

10/10, huh? hmmm...The only things I'll return home for if I forget them are 1) wallet, 2) phone, 3) ear plugs. Of those, only the plugs are riding-specific, but I also get how they could be part of ATGATT; making them more necessity than accessory.

So I'll add/reiterate with these:

Battery tender USB adaptor.
Side stand plate
Tank bag

A pair of unlined leather Tourmaster gloves. I bought them on clearance several years ago for ~$20 on a whim. They have now covered my wigglies for many, many miles. Just bare leather during the summer months and with ether thin, military polypro liners or thick wool liners during the colder months. I have several other pairs of gloves at many price ranges but my old Tourmasters are the ones I most often use.

Modern gear (boots, pants, jackets and gloves - huge difference).

Russell Day Long

Best bang for the buck on the Griso, paying for a suspension tune. Best $35 ever spent on a bike.

On my second season with the electric vest and glove liners - they are quickly reaching 10 on my list.

Heavens Barbie, You should have said something sooner, I was in Amsterdam recently and I think the massive building with the clasped hands logo is their HQ, not sure though, could'a thrown it through their front window for you. But seriously, did you have a lot of drama ? I've used mine in Europe and Australia for 5 or so years and the only time it panicked was in a tunnel near Mandello and that was probably 'cos the Guzzi was hurrying to get home and there were roads above us at ground level. Before that a Rider 2 and it went well for a few years. Truthfully mate, I haven't yet had a problem and I use it in the truck for navigation in Oz as well.

Rox Risers(I like them a lot)/barbacks
Slime Airpump , the small one. I think it goes to 100lbs?
12V power supplies. Powerlet/Walmart/Marine Supply or SAE type . I have 3 on my bike. Handlbar, back of rear rack area and near the area below the front of left side cover.
Fuzeblock. Fantastic fuse block. Small footprint. I have run Blue Seas(really big compared to Fuzeblock, cheaper also excellent) Eastern Beaver makes one.
Separate relays for the headlight/horn. I made the last set(I had all the parts. The Quota is aux wiring dream bike) . Eastern Beaver sells them . They are quality and priced right.
Everything Eastern Beaver sells. They make it easy to do or to buy parts them.
My Quota has great horns otherwise it's Wolo Horns. Great horn's for a great price.
Alaskan Butt pads. Fantastic service. Your Butt will love you. Do not ride in rain with them. Sheep skin is just a gigantic sponge. It will take a while to dry out.
Cheap tire plug kit. Cheap works great. I'm sure the high dollar one work great. I have fixed 2 tires in the last 7 years. One for me and one for a buddy. 2 quick techniques. A tie for the center stand ( to prevent roll off if you are alone. My Vstrom was on an angle, it rolled off twice, My wife and I caught the bike both times). Put air in the tire as you clean the puncture hole and when you insert the plug. Speeds the process to under a minute to fix a flat.

I have a ram mount that I recently added. It works great. To me it's not really must have. It works great. Once you have it . You really appreciate it.
I also ziptied a garage opener FOB to my hand guard, works great. I can touch it with my middle finger even with my gloves on.
A Harley buddy took his FOB apart ran two wires to a 7mm stainless momentary switch. He made a stainless bracket. The FOB was under his fairing. The switch was below a handelbar switch. His goal was not to take his off the throttle. The switch button was no bigger than a 5mm buttonhead. Only 2 hrs to take off the fairing/windshield/other stuff.
I think we got Chamberlain FOB'S off Ebay for less than $15.00
