In Germany at Christmas time, the big deal is Weinachmarkts, or Christmas Markets. In neighbouring Esslingen, they have a middle ages Christmas market. You can buy gifts there but it's mostly for eating and drinking 😊.

That is on my bucket list to visit. Now, if I could just find me a cute German companion also. Interesting pics.

There are a lot of things in Germany that are about eating and drinking.  They are very good at those things.

I spent 3 years in Wuerzburg (75-78) in the Army as a helicopter crew chief.  It was downright beautiful during Christmas season!  I would also travel to the marts in towns as far as Nuremburg; it was especially enchanting when a light snow fell at night.

But it was more fun during the summer into autumn.  There was a nudist colony on the way back to the airfield that we always seemed to fly over no matter which direction we were coming from.  Then in August/September we would fly out Wednesdays and Thursdays to see what towns were putting up tents for the bierfests so we could visit them on the weekend.

I really enjoyed my time there.

I guess !!!  :thumb:    Dang, I gotta visit Germany some time.

When I was 20yo in the summer I worked for the State of Calif..  2 of us daily would go to different parts of Sacramento county looking for Japanese beetles to spray in our Studebaker PU.  We were south of the city once and drove up a driveway of a place that had bamboo fencing around it about 8' high.   We drove into a nudist colony!   My partner was a Mormon, closed his eyes and demanded we turned around and not look.   I wanted to case the whole joint but he wouldn't agree.

My wife and I took a tour of Germany last winter to the Elefanttreffen near Passau, after Christmas but the snow and beer made it feel festive, afraid we were on a BMW and sidecar, story at http://ginoontour.blogspot.co.uk/2016/02/a-journey-to-germany-and-divorce-from.html Some guzzi photos

There is ample opportunity to be nakkit in Germany/Europe  😀.

Be forewarned, I go the FKK  (nude) area as often as possible in the summer.😨😨😁

I have fond memories of the famous "Weinachtsmarkt" (Christmas Market) in Aachen, Germany 2004-2005, and drinking "Gluewein" (hot, spiced red mull wine) in the Markt.  Very festive! :thumb: :1:
