Rear rack for '16 Stornello

Hello friends,

I have a '16 V7II Stornello, to which I've already added a rear pannier rack. I'm not sure if it's OEM or Hepco-Becker (although I did order it at my Guzzi dealer).

Here's a picture of the bike with the rack (that mounting plate attached to it is for a MoskoMoto soft-pannier). It's an unusual set up because I only have one side rack and pannier (because of the high mount exhaust on the opposite side).



I'd like to add a rear rack...just to hold some more luggage, like a tail bag.

I'm a bit confused about what the tail-rack options are, as my pannier rack attaches to the top of the rear shock mount, so any rear rack option that uses this mounting point won't work.

I've read this thread: http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=76893.30 And wonder if anyone has anything to add...

Seems like the "small, 7 lb. limit rack" is the only option. Is it? Any of you mount it? Thanks in advance...need a cold-weather Guzzi garage project, as small as this would be!

I have the large Guzzi rear rack on my Stornello and really like it with the small Givi top box. Don't think I would care saddle bags on a Stornello. Just a one sided affair on the left would look so unbalanced and a two-sided set-up as we see on some BMWs would hide the signature exhaust that arguably defines the Scrambler style.

I find that a one-sided saddlebag can make the scrambler that much more distinct from other motorcycles.

Your bike looks good!  I guess you were able to do both side bag and rear rack which is what the OP wanted.

Nice Kenvil. So how are both mounted? It looks like the large rear rack...doesn't that use the same top-of-shock mounting point as the pannier rack?

Thanks for the confidence guys, but the bike pictured is not mine. I came across it on the internet, and I was really impressed by the subdued all-black Scrambler look. Judging by it's spotless appearance and the fact that it's parked outside a dealership, I'd say it's either waiting to be picked up by it's new owner, or it's been customized by the dealership and is being offered for sale.
