stelvio carc air valve broken

Hello Folks,
Long time reader, seldom poster.
Changing my carc oil today and snapped off the top air valve/bolt on 2011 Stelvio.
The end of the hollow screw is broken off in the top of the carc and of course I need a new bolt once i figure out the best course of action to get the broken one out.
Any ideas about the best way to remove the broken one ?
Also does anyone have a carc that is no good, but you'd be willing to part with the top bolt?

You'll probably find that if you stick a flat bladed screwdriver into the centre ov the remains you'll be able to just wind it out.

As for replacement? Why bother with the POS original? Make up a remote breather and avoid water ingress.

All you need is a banjo fitting and tubing of your choice to inexpensively make a remote vent for the CARC.

Mine has been in place for 42,000 miles and no problems.

Another option to the screwdriver is an easy out. Should work on in this application without any trouble.

Changing the vent to what Pete suggests is probably the best thing you can do to your Stelvio. A little story: Right after I purchased my Stelvio, I took it to the Virginia rally. I had just picked it up. On the way home, I encountered a very heavy rain for several hours. Upon arrival home, I now had the initial miles on the bike to require the first service, so I went about getting that done. When I drained out the rear drive, there was water in there. I surmise the warm metal then cooled by rain, (it was heavy), caused water to be drawn in.

Pete was making a fantastic vent at the time, which I promptly obtained and installed. I have never had any water incursion since that time, and I have ridden through some frog chokers since.

Pete, I still maintain that your design is the nicest and cleanest install based on all I have seen! I thank you for the things you have come up with to help the Guzzi collective.

Calling it an easy out should be a misnomer. They should be sold along with an easy out extractor.  If you have a screwdriver that will fit.......use that first.

Thanks to all who responded. When something goes wrong,my natural thoughts are that I'm the only one who this has ever happened to! How crazy is that!
I ordered my banjo bolt, fitting and hose today. Took a little looking but I found it in Ft Wayne Indiana. It was $10 -shipping an all.
I'll go out this evening and GENTLY attempt to remove the broken bolt. Fingers crossed , I'm sure it will back out just fine. Maybe I can post a pic or two. Thanks again for the help and I'll keep you posted on progress

Same with mine.   You can rig something up with a banjo bolt and some hose, but Pete's design looks "factory", is very unobtrusive, and works right .... Never any water incursion in mine either in 43K miles or so.

It twirled right out of it's spiraled hole!
No forcing,grunting or cussin'!
Threads in hole are unmolested!

Good work. Thing is once the tension is off the threads it should spin out with no issues unless its got corroded in somehow.

OK, now you know the secret of venting the CARC.....banjo bolt and long tube going up near the airbox.  It's a shame Pete stopped making his kit.  I have one and it is so slick most people think it is OEM.
