A Moto Guzzi ad campaign for why we ride

We  all have our reasons and passion for why we love to ride and why we've  chosen Moto guzzi.I was just wondering what an advertising campaign, be it video or print, would look like if it truly captured the essence of why we ride Guzzi. Any ideas?

And One other thing… Do away with the slow-motion of putting on a helmet, lifting your leg over the bike, and slowly flicking up the kickstand kind of stuff!  I don't think that catches the passion of why we ride!

Near the end of the commercial the rider parks near a saucer-eyed, gaping-mouth boy who asks "what is that?"  The rider replies in a Clint Eastwood "make-my-day" voice:  Moto-Gootsie - then final title screen per above. I feel strongly that the ad should give the Italian pronunciation of the brand.

I agree with the idea of riders from all parts of the country meeting up to enjoy each other's company and motorcycles.  In my mind I would follow 5-6 individuals, showing the ride each had...through mountains, across the great plains, through quaint towns, and meeting up at a rally.  There would be a lack of fringe, leather, heavy tats, loud pipes, or grinding sparks from some dark garage.  Show the start from some one car garage in the suburbs, parked under a carport or other equally unpretentious location.  No trendy lofts.  Add in a few older bikes like the Falcone or a 350 small block, mention the racing heritage, talk about a bike with over 100K miles on the clock.  Basically, appeal to the normal guy rather than the hoodlum wannabe.  I'd like to think that we are not all Walter Middy characters.

 Peter , Kirby 1923 has traveled half way around the planet , serviced his CX100 in Tehachapi , then ridden 1300+ miles to attend our gathering in Cedar Vale KS . We have had a Dutchman , a pair from the PNW , and folks from all over the Central US . Why , well certainly not for the casinos , night life , or fancy food  The National draws folks from all over also . The film crew could start with Kirby, or TravelingbyGuzzi , or any number of our friends .
 As an aside , a local reporter interviewed Delrod and me at CV this year , the locals seem to be a bit amazed that we come from all over to visit their little village .

The ad should feature a self confident, self assured woman who also happens to be impossibly attractive in an edgy sort of way and legs like Beyonce', walking past a line of non descript everyday bikes with a barely stifled smirk on her face as a young man tries to gain her attention on a bland Jap thing. The chick then lifts a helmet off the 'bars of a V7 racer, throws her leg over the bike and expertly makes her exit in a set of painted on leathers. The point being, that a beautiful chick thinks guys on any thing other than a Guzzi, is a  wimpy tosser but would get interested if he had a bike like hers. Excuse me, I have to duck off....!

We open on a bedroom early Christmas morning. 

I wake up, run downstairs where the keys to a new Stelvio lie beside an empty milk glass and cookie platter with the note "For Santa"...

I grab the keys, run to the window and see out on the lawn a Vulcano Rosso beauty parked in the new-fallen snow...I rub my sleepy eyes to make sure of what I'm seeing as the music bed of "Jingle Bells" swells up.

We go to a long shot of nick949 dressed as the Jolly Old Elf rides a pristine vintage Eldorado towards the horizon and lifts up into the sky  as the titles "Buon Natale from Mandello del Lario" and "Moto Guzzi" appear in the clouds....fini

As they are all dismounting the camera pans out to a rider, still straddling his MGX21, that casually waves to his friends and takes off down the road into the sunset. In Aussie parlance. If you imagine the action of your right hand as you're tossing wheat or some other grain to chickens. It's a repetitive motion made using your palm to achieve a "desired effect", as David Attenborough would doubtless say, if you can imagine his voice..."the actions of the excited young male in the presence of the female"... is that close enough ???

Shots from above. Shots from the riders perspective. Wind and motor. Vrooooooom.  Whoooooooosh. Flash back to his/her phone sitting on the counter. Now back to the ride. Whooooooooosh. I think that the focus should be on a peaceful, technology-free afternoon where it's just you and the road and the bike. Thats why I ride anyway.

Pan across a old motorcycle junkyard, the mists rising.  A van slows down by the edge and a motorcycle is thrown out the slider (perhaps a ujm?)  Suddenly heads and then complete  people, young preteens who scavange the dump for valuable parts all rush to the new deposit; a little scuffling, some expressions of disappointment and the scavangers melt back into the background.  as the camera follows one of the teens (wearing a red leather jacket), he passes a tree.  Almost camoflaged  so that it is hard to see him, an old man  snaps his suspenders and, with a melancholy smile, shakes his head and starts to ride off on an beater ambo.  The eagle on the tank takes flight and passes over young new riders on several Moto Guzzi's racing along a highway (the lead rider older but still wearing the red leather jacket..

It was only a few days ago here I saw an ad on our tv for underarm deodorant , and after poncing around for a bit the chicky babe jumped aboard a Moto Guzzi.

Yes Jim, but if I understand (and maybe I don't), it's not "us" that we're trying to reach. I could watch a hundred ads telling me why it's a good idea not to go riding on my Norge and I'd ignore them, see, I, like most others here are already sold on to the caper. In essence though, I can see the point that (I think) you're making.
