Back to bragging rights, wouldn't 'first to offer integrated brakes' qualify?

Bragging? This low tech tractor won an endurance championship against Ninja 900s, VFR1000 etc

You recognize life is too short to be dull and board.

I've enjoyed reading all of your responses but have to say the point isn't about bragging, it's a question of how Guzzi compares to other bikes and what it does better. The OP hasn't experienced a bunch of other brands' offerings so wants to know how they compare.

I've been into the airhead BMWs for 25 years and that's all I've ridden since 1990. I love them, and have had just about every one of them. But I'm not familiar with the other brands, except those I had before 1990 - Hondas, Kawasakis, Yamahas and a Maico dirt bike. All of them bored me after a while and went away.

I'm reading a book by Ian Falloon about the V7Sport and LeMans. One thing relevant to this conversation sticks in my mind. Ian says that when the V7Sport came out, other brands had good power but didn't handle well, others handled well but weren't very powerful, or didn't stop well - but the V7Sport was excelled in every category.

The good thing is that these bikes aren't temperamental like race bikes tend to be. They're sleepers - if you understand that term. It's a vehicle you wouldn't expect winning races - that does. Other bikes have more power these days, go faster, stop better, but as you all know, there's more to riding than having the latest and greatest.

I've had the same thing happen with conversations in odd places. A guy in a pickup at a stop light rolled down his window and told me he loved the sound of my T3 and how quiet it is. I don't think it's all that quiet - perhaps he's a Harley guy with open pipes? Another admired the T3 and told me that's what a motorcycle is supposed to look like.

I couldn't agree more!

Personally, I love the sound they make - engine noises, exhaust - the feel, handling, suspension, brakes are plenty sufficient, and the look. I also love how smooth they are on the highway - and they're not much less smooth at lower RPMs either - I don't understand that. How can a 90 degree V twin be so smooth?

This low tech tractor won an endurance championship against Ninja 900s, VFR1000 etc

Remember that, although it was good riding and a very large fuel tank that helped in a large way.
Won on fuel stops
Still, it was legal under the rules of the time so all good.

One thing I think is worth mentioning if it hasn't been already is the fact you can get a light weight small block motorcycle with a shaft drive at an affordable price.  The last bike that offered that combo I can recall, though I'm certainly no motorcycle encyclopedia, would be the Yamaha Virago 535.

I like Guzzis cause they're rare.  I doubt I'll see another Nevada outside of a Guzzi rally.  Since I got my license in 2013, I've only seen one other Guzzi and that was an older 1980s model.  Harleys are beautiful bikes, but they're everywhere.  What's the fun in that.

Guzzi still produces motorcycles in the same factory as when they started.

I like to tell people that, all my three Guzzi, although made in different decades, took different routes to reach here, they all once rolled out from the very same factory gate.
