I got stranded by a failed fuel pump on my Sport.  And once due to worn out tire on the EV.

I have to thank Darren for both rescues.    :thumb:

Damn!!!!
That's some serious mileage and nice bikes! Thumbs up!
(and I'm worried about reliability with my 2014 Stelvio at 6K miles... I have a lot to learn...)

My Quotas never left me on side of the road.....

7 Guzzi's and not one has left me stranded anywhere. Ever. I've never traveled anywhere on any of them with anything other than the factory tool kit and a plug kit and compressor.

83,000 on the Stelvio - 3 cross country trips including a run up to Alaska
70,000+ on the Ballabio
45,000 on my wife's Griso 1 - cross country trip including a run up to Alaska
55,000 on my Ambassador
74,000 on the Tonti Roadster
4000 on the V7II Stornello
2000 miles on the 66 Stornello Sport.

I never had the luck with any of the multitude of Japanese motorcycles I owned compared to the Geese.

Well used bikes.  Yep, as miles go up they need more stuff.

The T5 had the throttle cables break three times, less than 15k per cable.  After I got the Thomaselli throttle I did not break one in 20k miles.  And, yes, all three times I fixed it on the road with the spare that I kept 'threaded up' on the bike.

Clutch cable once.

I dodged a bullet with the final drive.  Removed it to replace clutch pushrod seals and found the splines almost gone.  I had just returned from a 3000mi trip.

And the bike had almost 100k mi on it when sold.

Having had an older Honda it had the same cable issues as it got older.

New Honda NT700.  No road side issues in 30k miles.

Lesson?  Buy new?  Or don't put many miles on it before you sell it?  :)
