First ride of the season, about 40 miles total. Sure felt good ,  come on spring!  Griso ran great, loves the 50 degree air. Thank's for the inspiration Nick :thumb:

Yes I did!  Not my first ride this year, but first on the Guzzi.  I'm cheating here, since I'm going to copy/paste from another post I made earlier today re this year's first ride on the 1200S.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ahhhhh!  Is this one sweet bike?!  After spending way too much time attempting to change the H4 bulb on the R100GS (unsuccessfully, by the way,)  at 3:30pm or so this afternoon, I fired up the Guzzi for the first time since the end of November, and while she idled, I quickly ran upstairs, threw on my boots, ran back to the garage, and grabbed the first old jacket off its hanger, and I was off for 40 or so miles.  A very short ride, but very satisfying.  I'm sure the rear shock is approaching retirement status, or worse, but this heavy old gal still feels like a Cadillac on our less-than perfect roads.  The 2 valve 1151cc engine is a sweet matchup with the six speed tranny that shifts like butter.  Front suspension?  Lovely.  Kudos, Guzzi ...... ya done good!

CARC forever.

I didn't ride, but I installed the new battery that was needed by my bike. It's been the BV500 only for the last couple of weeks. If this beautiful weather holds, I'll be back in the saddle tomorrow!

Yes it is, but I shudder to think what sort of witch's brew of chlorides (magnesium, calcium, sodium, etc) might be in that stuff, busily munching away at any metal they find ... !!

Yep, they're still out there in the garage having a field day. I'll get around to cleaning it next time it's sunny and above freezing - but with other things on the horizon, it may be July or August before I get to it.

Fortunately, for every person like me who has a lackadaisical attitude to bike cleaning, there are hoards who love to polish and shine. I keep my clean on the inside though, where it matters.

Georgia on my mind. And a bit of Alabama to boot!
275 miles on the GRiSO today.
Approx.10k this past year. The bike truly is feeling to be a better fit for me than I could have hoped for.

Fell for its looks, keeping it for the way it makes me smile... :azn:

My daughter is visiting for the weekend and got here a couple hours before dinner... just in time for us to do a 100 mile loop of country roads around the lake in the 75 degree air and sun.  She was on the Ninja 250 and I was on the Mille.

I put a new battery in my Vintage, topped it off with my trickle charger, and wiped the dust off the shiny stuff. My goodness, that starter spins up quick with full cranking amps! I rode through nearly all of the country roads in St Tammany Parish! The sun was out, the temperature was in the mid-seventies, and all was right in my world...

Will not be riding today. Am in Las Vegas visiting my mom.

This Nick-Lannis exchange got me thinking about how nice it would be to have a 'mudder' bike - one that I ride in the muck and don't worry about surface rust (so not too much $$ to depreciate), has great winter protection for when that muck is most around (so faired?).  Made me think of Crusty's Norge.  Cheers everyone.

Nope. 70s yesterday, low 30s and going lower with snow and winds gusting to 35 knots. It would have been a little unpleasant..

I've been out a few times this week during a rare, Feb. Thaw here in the Hilltowns.  A couple weeks ago I was dealing with 2 feet of snow.  Now its all running in the ditches and the frost is coming out of the ground.  I scraped as much ice off the driveway as I could in anticipation of an early ride and did navigate out the driveway onto the sandy roads on my CB500X with 50/50 tires.  Didn't want to risk the ride on the Breva yet, though....

68 here in CT, took out the XT350 for a spin, great bike for the crusty roads and will run without the battery since I have them out of all the bikes for the winter.

This past Saturday, I took my Guzzi out for the first time in months. I rode to the next town over to get my bike inspected so that I could renew the registration on it. It was 42 degrees but it felt good.

I rode in to work this morning on my Guzzi. I came up I-85 in the rush hour traffic just west of Charlotte. It's amazing how relaxed the big Breva feels in the fast lane eating up the road! That tall gearing makes sense there.

I had a nice little 55 mile ride out in the country. Toward the end I stopped and filled up with non-ethanol premium. Really enjoyed my newly configured helmet...
