Everyone wants the 78-80 GS1000s with chain...how bout the same, but a shaft drive no one wants. Sweet original.

Nice Suzuki, but it's hard to say how good a deal it is, since it hasn't met the reserve yet.

The '82 CB900c I have brings out the smiles on people all into bikes in the late '70's into the '80's.
Was at a Beemer dealership and owner comes asking  "who's bike?". Sets me up with a gentleman w/ his family there looking around at the bikes inside. As he had the same CB900c back in the day,
he's wanting to cut me a check on the spot. I couldn't do it.
Find the right guy and these bikes can sell themselves.
(But they sure weigh a ton)

The most important bit of info in the description "new stator and voltage regulator" . That was the weak spot on these bikes .

The GS850G was my first "big" bike....loved it but moved into something bigger and newer, the GSX1100G.

I'm done with vintage rides of any sort, parts get to be a problem and I just want to ride at this stage of my life.

I had the same bike bought it new for $3100. And I also had a 1965 Chevy shortbed pickup in green. This picture brings back some good memories!

That's a looker.  I had the 850G shaft for a short period.  The one bike I coveted from that period is the Yami XS Eleven.  There is currently one for sale about 10 miles from me with half the miles of that Suzuki and he just dropped the price to $1,200. https://westernmass.craigslist.org/mcy/5974377461.html

But like DaSwami, I just want to ride at this point in my life.  It could be the deal of the century but any of these bikes from that era are going to have dry rot rubber, rusted exhausts and tanks, yada, yada.  My riding time is too precious, thank you.

I put about 10K miles on an 850 G with that seat or very similar one. Put another 40K miles on an 850 L. The L had a very comfortable stock seat.

Yep, and that station wagon in the other pic looks to be a late sixties Chevy, maybe '68 or so.  My mother had a '68 Chevelle wagon with faux wood sides and a 327 with Holly 4 barrel.  Many of you are fortunate enough to have had or still have one of the sixties muscle cars.  I, on the other hand, never did  so my experience in really quick vehicles is limited.  That wagon was the fastest car I've ever driven to this day.

The Suzuki looks very nice indeed :thumb:

It looks like the world of bidders doesn't think it's worth as much as the seller does.

High bid: $2775, Reserve Not Met

He has it for $3200 Buy It Now.  Also, the title is not in his name, but the previous owner's.  Hm.

As long as the title is signed and notarized, it would be OK here in NC.  If it's not notarized, that would cause some amount of extra work, either tracking down that owner or saying there is no title and applying for a new bonded title.
