I've got a pretty slow connection myself, used up my "full speed" bandwidth so I'm on "As Available" access, 1 Mbps or so.

I hopped over to the MG Cycles website just now.   I visit so many sites I couldn't tell you how much it has changed, if it has ... it does look different than I remember it.

It seemed to run pretty fast, though, for me.   Took about 10 seconds to put something "in my cart" once I clicked it, but I could search and navigate pretty well.

Phone call works just as well though!

WOH!...

It went from old school theme to hipster ducati style theme!

Thank god for T1 bandwidth! :thumb:

I live in a 70 year old neighborhood. OLD infrastructure! No Fios here, and DSL is very basic and unreliable. I thought it was great after it replaced dial up. But now that sites are getting more and more complicated, there are times we have trouble even streaming something on you tube!

We have no money for cable, so stuck with Verizon DSL for now.
yeah, I might be addicted to brake fluid. But I can stop any time I want.

That's a bad place to be, stuck with Verizon.   No cell service here, no DSL since we're more than 17K feet from a switching station, and the satellite shuts off whenever a storm comes over (like for 2 hours this morning).

So for basic phone service, we have to fall back on Verizon.   Just for a basic landline, no long distance, they've gone from $36 to $54 a month in 5 years.   No other carrier uses these lines, either.   Bastards.   It was 1958 before phone service even got here, so I guess I'm supposed to be thankful for small favors.

Cell towers are festooning the landscape like foul fungi of some kind day by day, so I suppose some day a signal will reach here, and Fay and I will drop the landline and depend on a cell signal.   I hate that, especially trying to talk to someone on a static-filled, momentary connection ....

... but That's Progress!!

Their E-mail must not work either.  They sent me the wrong part based on the description on the website.  I sent a couple of e-mails about replacing or returning and have not gotten any responds.  I could call, but I thought the new world order was e mail.  I am so confused on proper communication protocol in the business world.

Emails to: info@mgcycle.com always gets me a prompt response. Not a big deal to just call them either. <shrug>

Last I remember, they're closed Friday-Sunday. Maybe give them a call first thing Monday.
