Very cool. I wonder how/why he decided on the displacement? Maybe he figured that displacement would produce just enough hp, but not too much for the (BMW /2?) transmission.

On another YouTube video he shows an air cooled V8. I suspect the rear pot(s) would get a bit hot on prolonged running.

Dennis is an amazing talent. He lives about 10 miles from me and I run into him ever so often. First time I met him was when I saw a Guzzi I didn't recognize outside a convenience store in Newton, KS where he is from. He has also built a diesel bike in a Guzzi frame. Below is two videos of running model tractors that he has done.

Don't quote me on it but I think he machines but does not cast. May be wrong. Have to remember to ask.

After a little calculating, it comes to 49 cc per cylinder. That's a good size for lots of off-the-shelf pistons...

There are no "kits" to buy, Dennis Franz is building mostly from scratch with a few off-the-shelf components (such as pistons?) I expect.

BTW, Morbidelli senior's son? races in Moto 2 and he's won the last/1st 2 races this year.

Unbelievably brilliant execution.  I'm having conniptions trying to do rearsets on one of my bikes and he builds complete motorcycles.  Anybody know a good online self esteem class?
