Got me a truly "wildguzzi" -had to share!
« on: April 14, 2017, 08:50:31 PM »
It started as a 1973 Moto Guzzi Eldorado, built in the 70's, since owned and displayed by Jimmy Trotta, a/k/a the Ice Cream Man from Hell. Now the bike finds a new home.

I have no idea how it rides yet! Indian Larry called it a "Pizza Delivery" bike cause of the square box like tank. Dunno how many gallons it holds! Sits like a go-cart! Too Cool! Jimmy is a cool dude!

I believe it was built by "Clean Gene" Fruth(spelling?) in Wisc.

How might you know? Jimmy wasn't sure. He picked it up in Sturgis around 1993. We'd both love to know who built it!

It's sort of like a Gurney Alligator only (ahem) "different".

Call "Cheeze" or Gordon at MG Cycle.  They will fill you in on the details.

PS: his first name is Don not Gene.

It is unique  I guess you either like it or you don't. At least it does not have those ridiculously extended forks.

The quality of the workmanship appears to be very high from the photos.

That's the shifter , looks like it's a foot clutch/ hand shift. Notice the absence of a clutch lever or cable on the bars. You can just make out a cable coming from the left foot peg.

My first impression was also that it looked like a Gurney Alligator.  Now that bike was supposed to be very comfortable.  I wonder if this bike might surprise in the comfort area.  I am not much into choppers and such but I like this one.  I am surprised they didn't put a chevy 350 in it.
