Peter , it's mostly just you  :evil Just kidding , the Ozzie content here ebbs and flows , we have lost a few , and gained a few . Years back there was an Ozzie who posted some, very funny guy , we were discussing something along these lines , and I said "Maybe a dingo ate your baby" , not even being sure that was even an Ozzie thing . Maybe the slight increase in posts from OZ has to do with fewer dingoes . Dunno

I'll just jump over to the Dingo forum and check the membership status...I would love to think there were forces at play

Good God I hope not.  Those that live way way below the Mason Dixon line, well their toilets actually swirl backwards!!

I don't think we want their type here.

Before we get in to which way the bath water swirls on it's way out and the importance of sheep etc.  I must say Huzo that as I have read the intros on new members I made a mental note that I personally thought quite a few Ozzies were signing up.

I suspect actually that the Guzzi presence % wise is greater in the Southern Hemispere than it is in the States. I am just about to depart on a 500km jaunt and I expect to see say 5-6 Guzzis on my way up.

I've heard whispers of this "swirling toilet" of which you speak... Do tell, is there some advance in latrine technology in recent decades that allows one's ablutions to be whisked away by a rushing torrent of water ? In Australia we usually locate a handily placed log of wood to rest our arses upon and scratch a small mound of dirt and leaves over the steaming remains. I'm informed that in the more developed regions down from the mountains near the sea, people have fashioned things called shovels, and they dig deep holes called "long drops" and deposit their excretions in the direction of the earth's core. :gotpics:

I would like to tell more, but our government will not let such utterances be told.

But you kangaroo humpers are on to us for sure...  And thank heavens, we all need diversity to keep on keeping on!

Don't underestimate the difficulties that can be encountered in Kangaroo humping. Imagine, if you will, the juxtaposition of the pistons in a 180 deg twin vs a 360 deg. The problems encountered in a 180 deg situation can only be imagined if you both "fire" at the same time. :embarrassed:

Don't know in an engine, but I'm thinking of the Kangaroo humping scenario posed by our colleague. Kind of picturing the carnage if you both "went off" at opposite ends of the, ummm.... stroke !! As it were. As for the engine, could you screw a spark plug into the oil drain hole and hope for the best ???

And that's only because you've rung them to tell them you are on your way & you are counting the floor stock at the Morrinsville dealer. You know what it's like over there - even with all those bikes you know are out there, you don't see many riding around. Other than at special events, rallies, races & the Burt, you don't actually come across many. In 30,000km over there, I can only remember coming across one - a Falcone in the the company of a Vincent Comet. I did see 2 Enfields though - an Electra in Gore and an iron barrel out of Opotiki.

Enjoy your day ride.

There was a census done in poll form recently on WG asking where our members live . You might try finding it for some idea of an answer Peter .

It certainly be interesting to know numbers v countries, but some one would need time on their hands and access to Luaps records to do that.

I can access those , but running down IP addresses is very time consuming , and in most cases seems like a mild version of invading someone's privacy .

Once again , there was a census done here recently , might be worth the time for Huzo to run it down . I do remember the OP being surprised at how Ameri-centric the board is, but that doesn't seem odd , given our large population and WG being based in Missouri . Really , we seem mostly to be one big family , albeit slightly dysfunctional at times . Our Ozzies and Kiwis , along with the Brits and mainland Europeans add a nice bit of color . We even have Phang and at least one other member in Singapore . AND then we have those two , er , unique guys out in Hawaii

As for latrine technology and long drop capability, I have seen what might be the long drop record.
In the scab lands of eastern Washington there was a fellow who hired a well driller to get some water.
The driller got about 350 feet down before giving it up as a dry hole.
Not one to waste an opportunity the guy built his outhouse over the well hole.  That was 25 years ago and I doubt he has filled it up yet.

I've been here for a while but am more of a lurker.

I haven't done much riding in the last 10 or more years due to having kids but am getting back into it now, in fact I took my 11 year old son for a ride on Saturday and will go for a ride by myself this afternoon.

Sorry you had to witness this childish display of toilet humour Dammag. It'll be over fairly soon, Dusty'll reach over and give the main offender/s a whack and that'll set things right. But until then.....!

Jeepers ! Not trying to put too blunt a point on it ( so to speak), but by the time it thudded into the bottom of the hole, it'd be aerated enough not to need deodoriser... Bonus !!!

Why not ? Along the edge of the Pacific and into  the Glasshouse mountains. As good as anywhere in Oz.

Well Dusty, you can always start a poll where folks can click on their country of residence, or origin. If a country needs added, have them post in a message so you can add it. Then they can go back and add their 2 cents. Then, make it a sticky.

Could be a long list of countries.......... ................... ................... ..... :coffee:
