Can't make it. Have to take the kid to college. Probably make it to the NV state rally instead.

Was going to try and make it to San Diego and be an "irritant" to the rest of the SW "idiots" but the Ironman Championships are going on the same weekend. I get paid to haul a camera man around. So maybe the AZ Ironman instead in Nov.

Well Tom...No worries....like everything else in life...you CHOOSE your priorities. There is always another Guzzi Rally SOMEWHERE if you want to schedule it and RIDE. I'd like to ride to Dayton, NV also...but have another commitment that weekend

Why, when I worked the World Triathlon Championship in Edmonton we riders were lucky to get lunch! Sheesh!

Some clarification. They actually give us VS gift cards. Different from getting paid. No taxes or liability implied and it's tax deductible for the Ironman Corp.

A number of things good about riding & packing a camera dude during the Ironman World Championships. No worries from the PD.

The highway is blocked off for the event. In the bike and marathon venues only vehicles with passes are allowed. Makes for some interesting riding situations. Ride on the left side of the highway. PD

waving you through intersections because you have priority over other vehicles.

Weaving in and out to accommodate your camera man. No regards for speed limits. The "Gold Coast" resort hotels aid stations competing for best food bragging rights. The world class chefs take pride in the friendly competition.

The pass sticker on the moto gets you in and out of the different venues.

With all of this you get a nice gift. Usable where VS/MC cards are accepted.
