While you're there have a gander at the National Motorcycle Museum if you haven't seen it already. Amazing collection of mainly Brit bikes, up in the middle somewhere

True but the thought of watching two ageing Aussie males

doesn't appeal much. No offense intended of course:-)

I always play a nice song during such activities.
The minute waltz is a personal favourite !
Now come on guys, for heaven's sake...
How about 12 months to get our s**t together and meet UNDER THE CLOCK TOWER IN CALAIS AT MIDDAY, on a date to be fixed in 2018, as a primer for a trip back in 2021 for the 100th !
I resolve to have in excess of 200,000 on the Norge by then and (again), the first cappuccino is on me and I'll shout the Pizzas in Mandello.
For heaven's sake guys.... Come on !!!

In the unlikely case you should be passing through Bruges, Belgium, you are welcome.  After confirmation in writing, weekdays only and between 9 -17 am/pm. We can discuss any fee later on  Just kiddin' of course, any time, any place.  You name it ;-)
Just trawling through some stuff Frans.
I did go through Belgium but I lost track of who was where, but thank you indeed for your offer.
I stopped in a lovely place in a valley and was made welcome by some wonderful local guys. Back in London now after 16,000 k's and the Guzzi was perfect, I think I'll check the tappets when it gets home.
I want to re iterate that your offer was generous and I'll factor it in next year if still open.
Thanks again.
Huzo.

It just made it all the more passionate. We ran toward each other, arms outstretched in slow motion... hair flying behind, etc......( you'll have to see the video)
Here's some stuff. There's something about that pub that reminds me of the "incident"

There's more stuff but not yet sent to me.

Lol, one thing I enjoyed in the UK was pub names. I started writing them down in my notebook but lost it eventually along with some of my marbles.

Looks like a Roamer with a V7 tank, like Todd at Guzzitech made some time back.

Well....
It's kinda' all over now. Back in London and have washed the bike and will be in the depot for return to Oz in a couple of days. The Norge did NOTHING wrong over 17,000 k's and I really do feel more enamoured than ever with it. Looking at it, you can't tell that it's even been, and when washing the dirt off it in it's filthy state, I looked at the muddy mess on the ground and wondered how the dirt from 6 weeks and 17,000 km can run together and look like there was never a distance between them...I think the whole world is made of the same stuff.
The rough description is London, Calais, Hirtshals, Kristiansand, Bodo, (Ferry) Lofoten, Nordkapp, Helsinki, Brno, Geneva, Mandello, Rome, Paris, Rotterdam, Calais, London. (and a bit in between)...
Oil changed at Agostini's and otherwise never saw the spanners...
Riding back from the car wash without the heavy panniers and top box, she felt like what you guys on 8 valvers
feel everyday, you'd reckon you had a rocket up your arse! But it's all relative I guess, I still wouldn't change it for anything.
I'll have it back by end of November and then ride it 'round in the Aussie summer before starting preps for 2018.. I'll have to get cracking 'cos before you know it, it'll be "Almost That Time Again", I'll save up for the cappuccinos that I'll doubtless have to buy for the assembled throng under the clock tower in Calais .
Just a look at how well (I think) she's stood up to Europe for the fourth time, and thanks to any or all that have taken an interest. :thumb:

Oh....
and I forgot this one. Like to try to get you to believe it's a testament to how well she's stood up to 72,000 km on Europe trips, but we all know it's just a gratuitous bit of self indulgence, but part of me doesn't care..(the important part !)

Don't come back through Auckland, some knob head digger driver cut the fuel pipe coming from the Marsden point refinery so no avgas for the planes.

Jeez, that's no bloody good KK !
I might get away with it though. I've got a couple of thousand hours in gliders, so I'll be ok if it runs out of fuel !

Interestingly enough, I think their best L/D is around 15:1 which is not terribly bad for an A 380, although like all gliders, you only get one go at the approach.

Remember I said I'd leave the wire ones at the local bike shop for you....Webb's or something I think it was...
I rang them the other day and they said someone left in a lorry with them.
Wasn't that you ???
'Chucked a set of old cast ones on for the trip home.My original back one is currently being used as a hose reel in Australia. (Actually, that's the truth !)
