Man, every time you blinked someone either turned a great lap or crashed...a LOT like COTA in Austin...cold track, cold tires...the Ducati factory team needs to get input from the private teams...Lorenzo just not adapting well...

great show.  seems totally the opposite of the last couple of races, now the Yamahas are on top.  Lots of action and ups and downs.  Jack Miller must wear a Timex.

Vinales, Rossi, Zarco on the front row.  Marquez qualified 5th on 2nd row.  Lorenzo 16th.

Zarco, the "President of France", made his way from the Q1 to final Q.

The video of the little VR fan reacting to the crash was SO damn sad!  Exciting races all, but nothing can top the Moto3 multi-bike simultaneous crash...nearly took out 1/2 the field...Miller crashed as hard as anyone I've ever seen in road-racing and walked away...amazing...th e bike was trash afterwards...

There was a 5-6 year old boy with his Mom in the stands...he had the whole VR fanboy outfit...even the headset radio...the camera caught him and his Mom reacting to the crash...the little fella started crying and held his hands to his eyes...they went back a few minutes after the end of the race to him and his little eyes were red and he heaved a huge sigh...MotoGP sure puts us through the emotional wringer!

I finally got to watch it and to tell the truth until the last 4 laps it wasn't as good as previous GP races this year, IMHO, except that rookie Zarco was in front longer and all the front 4 bikes were Yamahas!   But for most the race there wasn't much passing there............un til 4 laps to go...........then the real action started.........Ros si decided he wanted to win this race since finishing in it the last 2 years in 2nd place.  On lap 2 to go he passed Vinales the leader(his team mate) and then the real action unfolded.  Up to that point Vinales thought he had the race win in the bag and still wanted it.......on the last lap of the race the 2 were going at it and before 2 curves from the finish Rossi was in the lead, but so wanted to win he went into a tight corner too fast and his rear wheel lost traction and down he went, handing the win back to Vinales.  In the end Rossi got 0 points for the whole race and Vinales got 25 points.

I wonder if that last lap was the end of Rossi's hope for one more Championship, can he recover enough points?

Goodness, the season is still young. Even a rider with no points could win the championship.

I think Rossi will have to start thinkig about finishing on the podium every race rather than "win it or bin it", although his winning attitude is what gained him so many fans-my wife included.

MotoGP is the best racing on the planet now and has been for a while. Whoever wins the championship is really accomplishing something-and it has been that way since 2000.

And wathicng yesterday, as my wife cheered on Rossi, I was moved to repeat-"He really is the greatest of all time".

Moto GP is the best racing on consistent basis than anything.

Some people like the dirt, some like the pavement...differen t skills/excitement level...no doubt.  Another vote for Moto GP, well, perhaps Isle of Mann above GP in terms of risk/reward/excitement!

Super Mile Flat Track is the most exciting racing: DuQuoin, Springfield, Indy, SAC.

And the Indy 500 is the most exciting event you'll ever attend.

All of the great American GP riders learned how to race on the dirt , if dirt track paid like GP , Roberts thru Nicky would have stayed home .

and the Europeans practice on dirt as well.  Rossi has his own dirt track that he trains himself and younger riders on and the Spanish riders race the Prestigio.

I think Roberts set the table.

Agree, I like it because the factories put all out money into it, no other racing has the same kind of $'s poured into it. glad to see Suzuki, Aprilia and KTM getting in not just H,Y and Ducati..
going around a circle full blast does not interest me.

IOM might top MotoGP for shear rider moxie/mojo..

Heck , the IOM isn't nearly as tough as racing the Northwest 200 , or Cookstown , or the pig trail that is Oliver's Mount . GP tracks are all sanitized , and if you haven't ever watched an Irish National race , well ...

Some riders don't have a death wish like the Isle of Mann racers you seem to prefer.  Even your flat track racers get killed more per year than top pro world road racers.  But it that turns you on...........
