But guys correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like it has a very awkward seating position.  Ergonomically incorrect?  Leaned forward, ass back, knees up with feet somewhat forward.   IMHO looks like it's in need of rear sets.

The ad mentions that it has a lowered-peg kit on it.   I'm sure they'd go right back to the stock position if you're made that way ... !

That is one beautiful, limited edition, and relatively rare Guzzi...but is $13K the true CMV ("Current Market Value") for this model?

Nah, the Coppa Italia was not uncomfortable. While I owned one I took some good 1k+ mile trips and found it more comfortable that my Ducati GT1000. This was with the stock pegs.

Meh..It looks like they couldn't decide if they were building a naked or fared  bike .. the nose give it an unbalanced look,  I personally don't like the aesthetic.

Thanks for the compliments on my bike. I agree with some that thought it is beautiful and it was comfortable for me with the lower pegs. It has a lot of nice equipment that enhances the performance and handling.
I find that I ride my Old Dorado more than the Coppa and the fact that I have eleven other bikes to maintain is what is prompting me to sell it and some of the others. I'm finally getting a little tired of changing batteries and tires and want to lighten my load as I get older and more arthritic. I know that this isn't happening to any of you----. That's my story.

Yes, but as an example, the Cafe Sport is the same bike except for the paint and decals. And a Cafe Sport fitted exactly like the Copa with the same mileage would be lucky to get $5-6K.

Don't get me wrong, I hope the owner gets the maximum amount of money for the bike.

That is one of the prettiest paint schemes to ever grace a Guzzi. It'd be my pick of the V11 sport series followed by a greenie with a red frame.

OK ........... For those that need to know.This Spiney is a blast to ride and truly hides its weight and oh that glorious exhaust system sound.
I'm glad I managed to find a factory correct one years ago.
They are truly an eye full with that paint and all the mechanical bits when you see them in person.

Very nice example. I'd hope to see it go over 8k. Regarding the aesthetics, I personally prefer the Nero or Rosa Corsa version of this bike. The larger fairing and clip-ons look much better than the Coppa's small fairing and handlebars. To me they are more consistent with the rear tail section they share.

My understanding is that around 40 were imported into the US.   But who knows?

It was said at the time that 50 each of the Rosso Corsa, Nero Corsa, and Coppa Italia were imported, but I suspect the numbers could be a little lower.

Thanks for the well wishes. I don't know how many were made, not a whole lot. Over on the V11 Coppa registry, I think there are only 20-25 that have listed their bikes.
Nick, that's a nice pic with two of them side by side. I usually take mine to the IMOC show in Sturbridge, MA in the fall and I occaisionally see one there, so I know there are two or three in New England.

The "buy it now" doesn't mean much.  It's the reserve that counts.  The $13,000 BIN is "pie in the sky, rich guy has to have it now" pricing. 

If our friend has the reserve set somewhere in the $6000 to $7000 range, then it will sell to the highest bidder.

I predict the bidding could go as high as $8,000.  That's about the highest I've seen one of these sell for in the last five years.
