Hey, [JJ] must be busy today - since nobody has done it yet, I'll take this opportunity to perform the bump and remind those interested that there's only 28 shopping days left until Christmas the San Diego GUZZI RALLY !

Here are a couple shots from Banner Grade (en route to Scottsdale, AZ on Monday). This is a bit more than 20 miles away from the Lake Henshaw resort.

That Allard is amazing    However, I'd take the 914 as a daily driver or the Healy 3000 if it was painted BRG and has the triple SU setup which includes the 2-speed electric overdrive.  That baby blue is just not right for that car.  Friend of mine from High School has a TD that he has owned since then (64 I think is when he got it).  Still drives it on a regular basis.

Roommate at the time had a 'Cuda 340/6 pack.  Lime green traded it for a maroon Austin 3000.  Both fun cars.

I love vintage and classic cars...(and motorcycles), and it is such a treat to see them driven ,(...and ridden), and on the road and "In The Wind" as they were always intended. 

My three favorite vehicles / bikes in that photo group are: (not including our '67 Mustang of course...)

It's tough out here right now - the temperatures for the next two weeks are forecasted to range from daily lows in the sixties to highs in the eighties

With the Norge currently out of commission (broken top shock mounting bolt  ), I just became iffy for the Rally, or I may have to ride up something else (Shadow, or the wife's BV350).  We'll see what happens.

Yep,  doesn’t matter what you ride if you can’t get the bolt replaced in time.  Just go

I rode my 2014 Victory Vision, (aka "Moby Dick" - The Great White Whale), to the New Mexico Guzzi Rally in Datil three years in a row....and although I was the brunt of and had to endure many, many tasteless jokes about the look of my bike...I still rode it there and made the Rally! 

Thankfully, I now have a '98 Centauro GT!  :1:   Anyway, like others have said, it does not matter WHAT you ride...as long as you RIDE and show up!   Anything on two wheels will do!!

After a successul 729 mile roun-trip "shake-down" ride to Datil, NM in August  on the ol' Horse, I believe she will be OK for this upcoming Lake Henshaw run. :1:

Shameless Friday *** BUMP *** - - with a BFTP (Blast-From-The-Past) photo...My old 1978 Honda GL1000, naked Gold Wing, aka "The Root Beer Float!"  :1:   It was a fun bike!

Nice Wing - I owned one for about six months in a complex arrangement with my brother, who I returned it to when his car got stolen.

I never really bonded with it, then again I wasn't using it as it was intended - it was a bit large for my commute.

My wife loved it, she said it was like  sitting on the couch and she'd shout " Bring me my champagne ! "

I told her it was like driving a truck on a sports car track. It didn't help any that we were drinking a lot in those days, and while she was having fun I was doing the moderation thing and worrying overtime - even one beer takes the fun out of riding for me.

Hi normzone! 

1. Yes, I am looking forward to this event and to see Bill "Billoni" Ross and the boys - - so all the "shameless" BUMPS are hoping promoting it for the SOCAL crew.  Plus....I have never been to Lake Henshaw!

2. Several of the SOCAL Guzzisti supported and rode out to our annual N.A.R. in Cottonwood the first weekend in May, so I want to reciprocate.

3. Any "Road Trip" on a Guzzi beats sitting home pulling one's carrot!
