Any used v7's out there around the $5k mark?
« on: July 20, 2017, 07:57:54 AM »
Hey all, I haven't posted in quite a long time but just wanted to ask this question. My girlfriend is on the prowl for a used v7 around the $5k (thought I could get her to buy mine, but she doesn't like red). Let em know if you see any out there, thanks!

There is one less as of last week. I just picked this one up for about 3k. Patience will be rewarded.

Betty,

Sell her yours. Discount the price enough so she can get it painted.

You buy the one in Las vegas.

I'll be there! Most likely with a +1 this year. She's very curious about this group of people that gave me a pair of red suspenders.

There's also a hell of a deal on a new Griso at that place in Vegas...

Don't forget that Rocker59 has a super-badass 2014 V7 Special that could be bought.

My apologies to Bette the Bear. He is a fine young man that won the youngest rider at the Grit rally in Lindale last year or the year before.

Thanks for the responses so far everyone. I have passed them along to the ultimate decider.

For whatever it's worth, I have shed the Austin, TX address and turned it into a Lockhart, TX address. It's only 30 miles, but the traffic and daily grind are so much nicer now. Of course,I started working for the state, so that the daily grind moves at a much more glacial pace now!

The local dealer has a really slick looking used 1400 Custom with some add-ons that is really tugging at me. Really. That would mean trading in my trusty little v7 though.

I will say that I still want one. I decided thought that my next bike should be based around the riding I actually do, and not the riding I daydream about. I've seen a couple of great deal Norge around, and boy are they tempting!

That's BS.  They certainly deserve to make a buck and I generally like seeing Guzzi dealers succeed, but Euro is classic for posting lower than anywhere prices.  I can almost guarantee you by the time they get to the "And drive it off the lot for..." price it's usually about the same as your good ol' local dealer.

There is definitely part of me that would be pretty interested in their Norge for the price they have listed. I've emailed for an out the door price, and I'll see what they come back with.

If you don't do the Norge deal, post what they tell you about the OTD price.  That's an amazingly good deal if it's legit.

10-4 on that. I also found a place in NC that listed a couple of leftover 2015's. They were asking $13k. I emailed them as well.

No.  Never sold it.  Haven't tried real hard.  Was hoping someone around here would buy it.  Not thrilled with going the Craigslist route.

Bike is still available.  2014 Special with 3000 miles and accessories.  Nice bike.

Nah.  A common "Red Maple".  Acer Rubrum.  Native to the eastern United States.

Just got off the phone with a place in NC with the three of the leftover 2015 Norges. They're asking $13k. I pressed him, and he said he could do $10,700 if it was cash, but they won't budge from the $13k if I'm bringing my own financing. He said he won't budge on the price to someone from out of state unless they pay with cash because it makes extra paperwork.

Having been in the business, that doesn't make sense.  But hey, the price is good...

If you're "bringing your own financing", you're bringing a cashiers check from the bank.  Same as cash.

How many fees will you be charged when you buy a bike out of state and bring it back to Texas? I don't like surprises.
