A little Nuovo Falcone day trip.
« on: July 29, 2017, 05:13:08 PM »
The Nuovo Falcone is remarkably easy to ride long distances - it just eats them up, doesn't leak or consume oil and puts a big smile on my face. Today, for instance, I did a 275 mile, 7 hour loop of part of Eastern Ontario. Nice cool sunny day.

The things we usually value about motorbikes: good brakes, the ability to overtake at will, instant acceleration, fast cruising speed, slick gearbox etc., simply don't apply to the Nuovo Falcone. Yet it is easy and satisfying to ride. Furthermore, I venture it handles rough, unpaved roads better than most 2 wheeled SUV's (including my Quota).

My old BMW was like that. Not much horsepower, but it would comfortably convey me as far as I cared to go. Great application of 28PS, a rubber Denfeld seat, and lowish touring bars.

Your Falcone is a treat. Great looking ride...

Yes

I have occasionally taken my pretty-boy Civile on a rough dirt road or a washed-out gravel road.  The big flywheel lets you throttle down like a Star Wars Walking Machine and it just climbs up and over everything.  Sometimes I wish I also had a Militare for some really rough terrain.

These Nuovo Falcones are awesome.
