Corbin seat, How is their customer service?
« on: August 25, 2017, 12:20:24 PM »
Hi Folks, my son is debating between a Corbin and a Saddlemen seat for his XR 1200 , and I remember a while back some complaints about corbin's customer service being slow. Has anyone here bought a seat from them lately? How was your experience?
Thanks
Rick.

Spotty, inconsistent and often times frustrating...but once the work is done, the quality of the final product is good.

You do have to have patience though with them...it's hard to believe that after years of feedback, they haven't figured out how to get it right the first time.

Must be a culture issue at the company...cheaper to do it 3 times wrong and 1 time right, than 1 time right the first time.

YMMV!

My experiences with Corbin (10 seats in 20 years) have been good. Most recently, I ordered a Corbin seat for my V9 Bobber. They quoted 3-week delivery and I had it in 2 weeks, and it is beautifully crafted. I decided I need some modifications to the seat to make it fit me better, so I contacted them and had a zero-charge work order in 2 days. I'm shipping it back to them today for modifications.

I have no complaints with Corbin, having used them twice.  But I went right to their factory and they made my original seat to my liking or recovered it while I was there years later.  That was when I lived in Kalifornia.   :thumb:

THIS - and yes the product is good!

And sometimes it IS right on the first try. But hit or miss.
