Seattle/Tacoma area riders: basic maintenance class

I looked for something like this a while ago and couldn't find anything.  The closest I could find was a community college offering a multi-year motorcycle mechanic course.  BUT...I looked again today and found this:

They're a fine organization:  I took my original riding class through them.  If you live in a different area, you may find something similar.  It looks like they don't have a ton of classes (1), but I'm going to give them a call and see what I see.  If nothing else, it'll let them know there's an interest in this kind of thing.

Clarification:  they have 2 different level of classes but it looks like there's only 1 class on their calendar.

The off-road riding classes they offer also look interesting.

motorcycle maintenance course is usually not as popular as some other mechanic course such as Heavy Duty & Automotive due to motorcycle is very season where we are...

I am up here in Vancouver BC so not that far from ya....and same thing...mostly riding school with mechanic side line courses.

I seriously believe if some of guys here get together and put on some sort of courses, it will be a hit

Rodekyll in the Seattle area should be putting on MC maintenance schools.  He's  DA MAN on this subject. No one else even comes close to his knowledge.     Just ask him.

  No doubt!  They'd be coming from hundreds of miles around.

I talked to Moto International once and they said they'd thought about doing that but lawyers put the kibosh on it.  Liability concerns.

I'd pay good money for that!  I bet a lot of othr people would as well.  Hard to pick up the right skills when none of your friends or family are mechanics.

Me too!  I'm in the same boat, with zero mechanically inclined family (living), and my friends always call me for any handywoman fix-it type help.  I've learned much trolling WG, and everyone has been helpful with my silly questions.  I'm sure I'll be pestering the forum brain trust soon enough with technical questions.
