V7 suspension, damper rod forks
« on: September 03, 2017, 10:12:47 AM »
We have had more than a few threads about the V7 suspension.  That translates into lots of opinions.  The current issue of Motorcycle Consumer News has an excellent article about damper rod forks.  That's the design used in the V7.  The article is by Kevin O'Shaughnessy, formerly R&D at Race Tech.   Elsewhere in the magazine he lists the sag guidelines for front and rear suspension:  Adv bikes Front 28~32%, Rear 33~38%; Street bikes Front 28~34%, Rear 27~32%.  If you are thinking about changing the front suspension on your V7 this article will be useful.
