Time for a "hello all"

... as I've spent little time on the board of late.

It's Saturday night here and Election day.  All that's on the TV is the gradual return of results along with lots of boring commentary.  I'll check it out later when it will be clearer how things have gone.

My poor Guzzi has made no further progress and now it's registration has died as well!
Now I will have to get it re-certified and take out a new rego when it is done. Much more trouble expensive than a simple renewal. I will try to get the original plate though.

A nice thing that happened out of the blue was that I received a voucher to see the new motorcycle museum in town and to have a meal at the attached restaurant.
Great. I've itching to have a look at that. They have some good stuff there I believe.  It came from Jeroan (a member here with a NATO V50) who stayed at my place for a few days while he rebuilt his rear drive.

Hi, John!  Nice to hear from you.  May all your candidates win.

In north Puget Sound, our extreme weather was three and a half months with no rain.  Unusual, but not "extreme" like the folks in the south.  We got a lot of smoke from other people's fires, too.  International smoke, since some was from BC fires.  Otherwise, temps threatened 90s some days, and most days, not.  Excellent riding weather if you could handle the smoke.

Progress on the trike has been good.  I'm preparing to hit the road again in a little bit.

As far as weather nothing extreme in Scotland just a lousy summer with lots of heavy showers, wind and grey skies

Enjoy the museum, post some pictures if you can

As for bikes, I'm sure helicopters need less attenion

Breva goes back on the road on the 27th . Still hope to do the Tattley Rappit; haven't registered yet though.

My mate that bought the Breva has done a few short rides on it and is very happy with it. Don't think it is the one you looked at though. He is off to see family overseas so he put his reg on hold until November, so won't be able to ride with him for a bit.

G'day John,
Money is tight these days and my wife has to retire before my pension will increase and that won't be until after April In the meantime, the bills keep rolling in like a heavy surf on a tourist So there won't be any progress on the Cali but the other day I drained most of the 2 y.o. petrol out of the tank, poured in half a litre of 5w/40 and sloshed it round. That should keep it going for a while(couldn't see any rust in there when I took a peek ). Poured the vintage gas in to the car which still runs Tank had 2 years of dust on it plus a lot of sawdust from my politically incorrect recreation but the outside wasn't rusty .
Wife is home from looking after her daughter who just gave birth to another girl and we had bacon and egg burgers for tea so I reckon everything is pretty good
