Try Ex Officio boxer briefs. They are a cut above normal underwear and won't leave you soggy bottomed...

For sweating - superfine merino briefs. For padded - kayaking shorts have padding in a different place than bicycle shorts.

If a boxer wares boxer shorts and a jockey wears jockey shorts, what do you call a guy that don't wear any shorts........... a swinger:). Lol, I crack me up sometimes:)
Seriously, I wear the sport shorts, they are like briefs with about 4" leggings which are long enough to protect ones thighs from getting rubbed raw in extra long rides.

I have had good success with the LD Comfort line, both shirts and briefs.  http://ldcomfort.com/  The briefs dry quickly and are not restrictive.

Note to Troy, If you are going to invent a word, give us a hint as to its' definition.
I could find no such definition for consoons.  The best my search engine could do was a lot of information
on the making of Star Wars.  And even that did not define the word.

That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.

LD Comfort are the best. If you're on a budget, the house brand Heat-Out underwear from Cyclegear is quite good too (though less durable). I have both.

Best thing to do is get a Bead Rider seat beads. It will allow airflow between you and the seat.

Being a long time cyclist who wore wool shorts on Brooks saddles for many years I know the importance of the right seat and short.

What I've found works for me is Moto-Skiveez.

Those shorts along with dressing to stay cooler are my way of fighting the wetness.

The Ex-Officio's are great (my daily wear) but they do have the seam in the seat area that can be a problem.

I tried a pair of gel cycle shorts but as someone mentioned the pad is in the wrong place.  Didn't know about Kayak padded so I will look at those.

I have champion Champion seamless undies that are the best non-purpose specific that I've seen.  Super light, wicking, and no seam!  Unfortunately they quit making them a few years back.

All of us are different, but the Ex Officio's flat seams don't cause me any discomfort. I started using them after reading a recommendation from a bicycling guy...one of the Rivendell Bike Works staff.

If I'm just going to be riding less than 400 miles a day, the Exofficio work well, but for long miles or multi-day long miles, Moto-Skiveez in the Adventure version are excellent when riding the Norge.

Ex Officio's were my go to for a long time, until I found Terramar. I use them for hiking multiple days with no odor or assrash. The Terramar waist band holds up a bit better than the ExOfficios. Better price too. One more vote for LD Comfort wear...not cheap, but you get what you pay for and the product works.
