Every time I see such projects I imagine how hard it must be for the seller to part with his dreams... took his bike apart in 1999 and has been rebuilding and storing it for better times in 15yrs... then bang.... no more riding

Hope getting the bike on the road again will somehow ease the pain, even though it's not with the seller in the saddle

I had a Ram clutch some years back on my T-3, great feel but very short lived.

I'm afraid that there's a psychological barrier there that's going to be hard to get over, limiting the potential buyer pool to a very few.

I love SP-NTs, I have one myself (sans fairing and instrument cluster so it's really a T5 I suppose), and I'll buy another fully equipped one someday, but .... $2800 is a bit too much for a collection of parts to build a 38-year-old bike, even assuming that all the work done and prices paid for it is real, which I'm sure it is.    Almost no matter how much "has been put into it" ....

I wish him good luck tho.

He sold a very nice, complete SP a few weeks ago for $3500.  You couldn't reassemble this one for $700 - it would cost that much to have the tin painted, and buy new tires.  Given the price of the nice, complete one, I think the seller is a bit optimistic.

It's a worthwhile project, but the price would need to drop a bunch before I'd be interested.  it is, however, 90 minutes from me.
