It was just a poor attempt at humour. But you're right, of course; it's not the intent of the meaning that matters, it's how it's perceived.
No ill intent towards Kev either, I was just pointing out that we need to tread carefully with our choice of words due to the recent political climate.

It's all good my friend. And no offense meant with the response either.

I won't comment further on the climate, political or otherwise because I don't want to give Dusty another aneurysm.

Ending a post with j/k, or a  or a  goes a long way in conveying that your post was meant to be humor.

I will never let someone call me a biker.  Too many negative stereotypes associated with that word.  I am a motorcycle enthusiast.  You don't own Moto Guzzi if you are not a motorcycle enthusiast.

My Anni is a dream to ride, and a bit of an attention hound, but worth every dime.
So given that your lovely bike is an attention hound GG, (which they most decidedly are), the "but" in your post maybe should be "and".  :thumb:

I was at Sloan's today ...  they have three new V-7III Stones (Green, Blue, and Gold) $8k.   One of those with the solo seat w/tail piece , and a chrome tank-brown/seat that looks like the V-7 tank/engine.     But no V-9.    They also have a slightly used  V-7II Blue Special for $7k

By Spring I might have to hunt another dealer if Sloans don't sell the ones they have and get another shipment.

I test rode the green one and the used blue one.  They said make an offer on the Blue one because they had it for a while but it is too close in every way to my café classic.  I thought about offering them $5000 for it, but decided against it.  Kept hearing my wife's voice in my ear saying "get what you really want, not just because it is a bargain."  LOL!

When you go up to sloans to you take midland road north of Shelbyville?

I've been running up 231 , and after appointments with the VA , then going by Sloans while I'm there.   How do ya get on MidLand rd ?    Is it the one that goes by "Blockade Runners" and "Bell Buckle" ?
